Why Schedule a Meet & Measure Before Moving Forward with a Full Design Agreement?

If you're unsure about the full scope of your remodel project or which rooms you’d like to include, scheduling a Meet & Measure is a great first step. This on-site meeting allows us to review your home together and define the parameters of your project in more detail before committing to a comprehensive design package.
During this visit, we will establish a verbal project scope and discuss potential design directions. After our meeting, I’ll follow up with a formal Design Agreement via email for your review and approval to begin the design planning process.

Design Agreement Overview

To be electronically accepted and paid via your client portal.
This letter confirms our agreement for interior design services to be performed by Sara Iborra Scott, ASID; for the purchaser of this package at the clients' residence. The purpose of this agreement is to define the preliminary scope of work and payment terms for this initial phase. A more detailed Design Agreement may follow to encompass the full project.
Please note: No tangible products or deliverables will result from this initial agreement.

Scope of Work

• One on-site meeting (1–1.5 hours) to review the space, discuss design goals, and collect measurements.
• SJ Interior Design Studio (SJIDS) will conduct physical and digital measurements, which remain the property of SJIDS and may be used in future design proposals.
• The purpose of this meeting is strictly informational—to support future planning and design development.
• Full LiDAR scan of proposed project space will be shared with you in our post meeting summary. Here is an example of the scan expectations to be provided.

Fees & Payment Terms

• The design fee for this package is as listed in your portal and is payable upon electronic acceptance of this agreement.
• Additional design services beyond this scope will be billed at $200/hour. These services may include (but are not limited to):
  • Design(s) and/or product selections for additional spaces not covered in this meeting
  • Additional site meetings with contractors or trades
  • Further or future consultations regarding design options, contractor consultations or product selections beyond follow up communication included in this agreement

Note: As the project progresses, additional rooms and design hours may be added. This includes; future design agreements, site or showroom visits for product selections, as well as extended consultation time. These additional services will be invoiced separately.
